Stewart Wright is an environmental and regulatory specialist who has managed environmental teams in both British Columbia and the UK and undertaken projects throughout the world. He is a certified Environmental Professional in Canada, with 20 years of consulting experience. He has been project manager or director for numerous Environmental Assessments, with a focus on coastal and offshore development. He has secured a wide range of permits for construction and operations, including Fisheries Act authorizations and Canadian Navigable Water Act and Disposal at Sea permits and has developed Environmental Management Systems for a wide range of construction projects. Over recent years, he has increasingly undertaken due diligence, reviews and audits of Environmental Assessments and Environmental Management programs for owners, regulators and lenders.
Stewart has specified and managed numerous environmental baseline surveys and undertaken climate change, marine modelling, underwater noise assessments and construction monitoring. He has facilitated stakeholder workshops and presented at many public and community meetings. He is adept at working with clients, regulators, Indigenous Groups and stakeholders to deliver project objectives. Stewart is based in Hatfield’s North Vancouver office and became an Associate Partner in 2020.
